David R. “Winnie” Winand
David R. “Winnie” Winand, 68, of Cass Township, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 7th.
Born in Pottsville on September 1, 1958, Dave was the son of the late Edman and Eleanor (Staselavage) Winand.
Dave was a 1976 graduate of Minersville High School and spent much of his life working as a coal miner.
A man who was happiest outdoors and working with his hands, Dave enjoyed hiking, working on his motorcycles, and spending time in nature. He had a special love for his dogs and was also a talented artist.
Above all, Dave treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, Gavin and Ellie, and great-niece, Haylea Winand.
Dave is survived by his son, Tim Winand and his wife, Kristina, of Schuylkill Haven; his beloved grandchildren, Gavin and Ellie; his sister, Beverly Fish, of Mechanicsburg; his nieces, Melissa Valukevich, Heather Tafur, Elena Geiger and Anjelica Casper; his great-nieces, Haylea Winand, Melanie Tafur and Ophelia Geiger; and his great-nephew, Fabian Tafur.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Dona Casper.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, September 14th, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. At 5:30 PM, family and friends are welcome to share memories, stories and words in celebration of Dave’s life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dave’s memory may be made to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, has been entrusted with arrangements.
Glory Harris-Graff
Glory Harris-Graff, 90, a resident of Pottsville, passed away on September 6, 2026, while a guest at the Orwigsburg Center.
Glory was born in Pottsville on December 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Davis) Reinhart.
A lifelong homemaker, Glory was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pottsville.
In addition to her parents, Glory was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harris; two daughters, Glory Harris and Dianna Meadows; and a brother, Royce Reinhart.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10 to 11 AM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. Her pastor, Rev. John Wallace, will conduct a funeral service at 11 AM.
Glory will be laid to rest at the Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville, immediately following the service.
