Born in Pottsville, he was the son of Dorothy Mattes Redmond. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Mickey Redmond; a brother, Kevin Davis; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Stu worked for the local 524 pipefitter's union as a pipefitter and welder.
Stu was a graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, where he excelled on the football field helping the Blue Devils to back to back District XI Championships. His love of the game continued as he went on to play football at Lycoming College. Football remained a tremendous part of Stu’s life, and he was especially proud to coach with the Frackville Mountaineers as his son came through the program. He was always his son’s biggest supporter, cheering him on through his years with the Mountaineers and later with the North Schuylkill Spartans.
Stu was a diehard fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of the Frackville Elks Lodge #1533 and the Shenandoah Valley Quarterback Club. Above all, Stu was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who cherished his family and his beloved dog, Thor.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jessica (Holmes) Davis; his mother, Dorothy Redmond; his son, Steven Davis Jr.; his stepdaughter, Hayley Snyder; his brother, Jeffrey Davis and his wife, Donna; his two half-brothers, Mitch Redmond and Josh Redmond; his father-in-law, Joseph Holmes and his wife, Kim; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Stu’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 501 West Washington Street, Frackville. Everyone attending the service is encouraged to dress in Hawaiian shirts or their favorite team apparel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jessica Davis at 328 N. Center St., Frackville, PA 17931 to help defray funeral costs.

Born in Pottsville on February 14, 1951, Ken was a son of the late Bernard and Mary (Renninger) Penkauski.
Ken was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, class of 1969.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville.
Ken played guitar and sang in many country bands including The Country Squires, Cheyenne, Whiskey River, Midnight Express, The Last Ones, Just Plain Country, Dallas and Doc Holiday. He also loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by children Kenneth B., Christine M., companion of Roger E. , Anthony J., husband of Aleea D., and Kaytlynn A., companion of Franklin T.; grandchildren Emily, Julie, Gage and Haylee; sisters Rose M. and Regina A.; several nieces,nephews and cousins.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

He was born March 6, 1951, in Pottsville, a son of the late George Wolfgang and Corrine (Mayer) Wolfgang.
Jim was a graduate of Line Mountain High School class of 1969 and Penn State University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education.
He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #797 of Valley View, PA for over 50 years.
Jim was a generous, kind and caring man and a hard worker that loved farming and working with and maintaining equipment. He was so proud of his sons and adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margie (Moyer) Wolfgang of Klingerstown, PA; his two sons, Jason Wolfgang and his wife Suzanne; Jonathan Wolfgang and his wife Colleen; his five grandchildren: Ellie, Austin, Brady, Chloe and Sarah; his two brothers, Dale Wolfgang of Millersburg, PA, Eric Wolfgang and his wife Catherine of Mountaintop, PA; his two sisters, Mary Henrie of Punta Gorda, FL and Jill Wolfgang of Dunedin, New Zealand, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, PA on Friday September 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Pat Wirick officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Klingerstown, PA.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 48 Main St., Klingerstown, PA 17941.

She was preceded in death by brothers Michael Grim and James Brensinger; Sisters Ethel Ann Brensinger,Jolene Grim and Lorna “Cookie” Schwoyer
Surviving are 2 daughters April Hampton of Reading; daughter Jolene Banks and her husband Walker of Reading; Grandchildren Kayla, Giavonna, Anthony, Marissa and Mickey; 2 Sisters Diane Stinnard and Noreen Baker; Nieces and Nephews Michael Eberhart, Scotty Eberhart, Forest Schwoyer, Ronny Schwoyer, Elizabeth Yohn, Jason Grim, Joey Grim, Josh Schoch.

A 1951 graduate of Reilly Township High School, Joseph was a standout multi-sport athlete. Known affectionately as “Radar,” he made his mark on the basketball court, becoming the Schuylkill League Basketball Scoring Champion in his senior year with an impressive 372 points, a record remembered fondly in local sports history.
Joseph’s love of athletics continued throughout his life. He shared that passion with younger generations by coaching numerous Little League baseball teams and later serving as a respected PIAA umpire, admired for his fairness and steady presence. He remained active in local sports as a member of the Holy Name Society Bowling League, the Pottsville Bowlers Association, and the Mountain Valley Senior Golf League, forming lifelong friendships along the way. In 1998, his decades of dedication to athletics were recognized with his induction into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
Joseph retired from Stroehmann Bakery in Harrisburg, PA.
He was a proud life member of the Citizens Fire Company of Branchdale and a devoted member of Holy Family Parish, formerly St. Mary Star of the Sea.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: John, Michael, Stephen, Mary Wernosky, and Anna Polinsky.
Above all, Joseph treasured time with his family and took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irene, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage; his children, Nina Weaver (Dave), Joanne Donahue (Marty), Jane Rada, and Joseph Rada (Diane); his grandchildren Sherry, Kelly, David, Jason, Michelle, Kristie, and Katie; and his great-grandchildren, Maddie, Pierce, Cora, Grant, Colin, Clara, Harrison, and Jaxon. He is also survived by his brother, Francis Rada (Cathy), along with many nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care, support, and kindness during Joseph’s final days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Matthew’s Church of Holy Family Parish on Friday at 11AM. Relatives and friends can call at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville on Thursday evening from 6 to 8PM and on Friday morning from 9AM to 10:30 AM . Interment will be in St. Mary Star of the Sea Cemetery, Llewellyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Citizens Fire Company of Branchdale.
