Spartans Build a 33–6 Halftime Lead
Kile opened the scoring with an 18-yard touchdown run, followed by a Wes Urban extra point. Brake added a 6-yard touchdown run, and Kile reached the end zone again from a yard out to give North Schuylkill a 19–0 lead after one quarter.
The Spartans extended their advantage in the second quarter when Holmes connected with Brake for a 33-yard touchdown pass. Urban’s extra point made it 26–0.
Panther Valley answered with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Cy Maynard to Chase McArdle. The extra-point attempt failed, leaving the Panthers trailing 26–6.
Holmes responded with a 4-yard touchdown run, and Urban added the extra point to send North Schuylkill into halftime ahead 33–6.
Holmes Adds Two Third-Quarter Touchdowns
The Spartans continued their scoring in the third quarter, with Holmes breaking loose for touchdown runs of 7 and 45 yards. Urban converted both extra points, pushing North Schuylkill’s lead to 47–6.
Panther Valley’s Maldonado scored on a 5-yard run later in the quarter. Neither team scored in the fourth.
North Schuylkill finished with six rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown. Urban added five extra points.
Both Teams Qualify for District XI Playoffs
In the District XI rankings, North Schuylkill finished seventh in Class 4A, while Panther Valley placed eighth in Class 3A. Both teams have qualified for the District XI playoffs. Their opponents have not been announced as of this posting.
