Schuylkill County Woman Sentenced for $99,000 Theft from Council for the Arts

On Wednesday, Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the daughter of the executive director of the Schuylkill County Council for the Arts has been sentenced to time in the Schuylkill County Prison for her theft of $98,332 from the organization.

Allentown Man Sentenced For Methamphetamine Trafficking to Schuylkill and Berks Counties

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that on December 19, 2019, Malcom Wilfong, age 28, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani to 55 months’ imprisonment for participating in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy that operated in Schuylkill and Berks Counties.

Schuylkill County Woman Sentenced to 5+ Years in Prison for Perpetrating Elder Financial Fraud Known as “Grandparents Scheme”

United States Attorney William M. McSwain announced on Tuesday that Yahaira Diaz, 33, of Pottsville, was sentenced to 65 months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay more than $165,000 in restitution by United States District Judge Jeffrey Schmehl for her leadership of an elder fraud scheme commonly known as the “Grandparents Scheme.”

Christy Convicted on 12 Counts for Threatening President, Stealing Vehicles; Transporting FIrearms, and Other Charges

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Shawn Christy, age 28, of McAdoo, was convicted  on November 26, 2019, by a federal jury on twelve counts involving threats against the President of the United States, transmitting threatening communications, interstate transportation of stolen vehicles, interstate transportation of stolen firearms, interstate transportation of firearms while charged with a felony offense, and unlawful possession of a firearm as a fugitive and as a convicted felon.  The seven-day trial was held before U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani.

Schuylkill County Man Sentenced To 15 Years’ Imprisonment For Production Of Child Pornography

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced Thursday that Josiah Ferrebee, age 23, of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on October 22, 2019, to 15 years’ imprisonment followed by five years’ supervised release by Senior U.S. District Court Judge James M. Munley, for production and attempted to production of child pornography.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced on Friday that Thomas Nestor, 41, of Ringtown, was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Court Judge James M. Munley to 47 months’ imprisonment and to serve four years on supervised release for his role in a heroin trafficking conspiracy.

Schuylkill County Man Sentenced to 70 Months in Prison for Unlawful Purchase of Firearms

On Wednesday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that on July 16, 2019, United States District Judge Malachy E. Mannion sentenced Mark Tullock, age 37, of New Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to 70 months’ imprisonment and a two-year term of supervised release, for orchestrating the unlawful purchase of several firearms.
