Road Closed Due to Water Main Break

Water Main Break reported near Mahanoy City.


According to officials, there is a major water main break on Parkplace Rd, near Mahanoy City.
Residents may experience no water or low water pressure. 

Park Place Road will be closed until further notice.

UPDATE:  8:15PM - Road is open with lane restrictions.  Water is on, break has been isolated.

    ENTRY FEE: $10.00 per angler – MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED

    GRAND PRIZE: 3 day 2 night stay at Caiger’s Resort, 1000 Islands, Canada

    DETAILS:

    This contest is open to all anglers under 16 years old, and any anglers 16 years old and older in possession of a valid Pennsylvania fishing license and trout stamp.

    Tagged fish will determine prize. Entry fee $10.00 per angler.

    Registration and information is available at the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce office, and Tom’s Auto & Marine, 250 S Greenwood St. Tamaqua, Pa. 18252.

    Pre-registration may be made prior to the derby date and up until 10am the day of the derby (April 23, 2016). Registration will also be available across from All American Jeep at the north end of Tamaqua along route 309, the day of the derby.

    Each participant must be pre-registered to enter the derby. All trout must be legally and fairly caught.

    Any evidence of tampering with the fish or violation of the rules will result in disqualification.

    All anglers must comply with the laws set forth by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

    Sponsors will not be responsible for accidents or injuries.

    Eligibility of trout in question will be at the discretion of the derby judges. Their decision will be final.

    Derby dates-Starting date April 23, 2016 10 am. Ending date- June 20, 2016 5pm. All fish must be presented for awards by June 20, 2016 5pm.

    Winning Millionaire Lottery Ticket Sold Near McAdoo

    Middletown, PA – Pennsylvania Lottery retailers in Blair, Carbon, Franklin and Venango counties sold the four $1 million top-prize winning tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle drawing on March 19. Second-tier winning tickets worth $100,000 were sold in Dauphin, Luzerne, Montgomery and Northumberland counties.

    The game awarded a total of $5,089,200 to thousands of winners across the state.

    The four $1 million top-prize raffle ticket numbers selected were: 00064525, 00121846, 00187015, and 00291226.

    The selling locations, listed in no particular order, will each receive a $5,000 selling bonus:

    • Sheetz, 8711 Woodbury Pike, East Freedom, Blair County;
    • Tresckow Super Food, 6 S. Walnut St., Tresckow, Carbon County;
    • Bill’s Kwik Chek Market, 816 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, Franklin County; and
    • Giant Eagle, 200 Sugarcreek Town Center, Franklin, Venango County.

    The four $100,000 second-tier prize raffle ticket numbers selected were: 00023678, 0058112, 00115824, and 00165025.

    The selling locations, listed in no particular order, will each receive a $500 bonus:

    • 7-Eleven, 4811 Derry St., Harrisburg, Dauphin County; and
    • Valley Mart, 240 S. River St., Plains, Luzerne County;
    • Wawa, 535 Horsham Road, Horsham, Montgomery County.
    • Turbotville Great Valu, 4680 State Route 54, Turbotville, Northumberland County;

    A total of 6,000 winning numbers were randomly selected from a range of 309,639 tickets that were sold between January 11 and 8 p.m. on March 19. The Millionaire Raffle also awarded 100 prizes of $1,000 and 5,892 prizes of $100.

    Winners cannot be identified until the prizes are claimed and the tickets are validated. Millionaire Raffle winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

    Each $1 million top prize must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery’s seven area offices. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lottery headquarters and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.

    Claims for the four $100,000 prizes can be filed at any of the Lottery’s seven area offices or at a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer. Millionaire Raffle tickets worth $1,000 and $100 can be claimed at Lottery retailers.

    A complete list of all 6,000 winning raffle ticket numbers is available at Lottery retail locations and at www.palottery.com. Winning raffle ticket numbers are listed on the website by prize category. In addition, every Lottery retailer has a ticket checker allowing players to scan their own tickets to learn if they have won a prize. Players should check every ticket, every time.

    As a bonus, VIP Players Club members can enter all 2016 St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle tickets (winning or non-winning) into the Lots O’ Cash Second-Chance Drawing.
