Vehicle Stolen in Mount Carmel Tuesday Morning

The Mount Carmel Police posted the following to their Facebook page Tuesday about a stolen vehicle


STOLEN VEHICLE-Mount Carmel Borough Police Department are investigating a vehicle theft that occurred at the Turkey Hill Store at Fifth and Market Street Tuesday morning.

The vehicle taken was 2011 Chevy Aveo sedan, silver in color.

The vehicle has a Giants license plate on the front and a large NY decal in the back window as well as a Notre Dame decal in the rear window.

Vehicle has a temporary registration paper int he back window.

There is no vehicle registration available.

Vehicle was last seen traveling East on Fifth Street towards Centralia.

The photos attached are pictures of a male and female who are persons of interest in this vehicle theft.

Both were seen loitering outside the store prior to the vehicle being taken.

Anyone who saw these person's or know their identity or observes the vehicle is asked to call the Mount Carmel Borough Police Department by calling the Northumberland County Communications Center at 570-648-3868.
