Frackville Man Charged for Killing Father Earlier This Year

On Friday, a Frackville man was charged for killing his father earlier this year.


According to reports, Tyler Swantek, of Frackville, has been charged with criminal homicide, murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possessing instruments of crime, and abuse of a corpse, in the death of his father, Todd Swantek.

On Wednesday, May 24th, Police were called to a home in the 400 block of North 3rd Street in Frackville for a suspicious death.

Reports say that Todd Swantek had been dead for several months before being found by a friend.

The cause of his death was ruled to be multiple gun shot wounds and was ruled a homicide.

Through an investigation, police determined Tyler Swantek was responsible for his father's death and is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on homicide charges.


A death in Frackville is under investigation late Wednesday.
