Schuylkill County Police Log for 03/12/18

Woman Taken to Hospital After Crash in East Union Township on Monday

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 3:40pm Monday, when Sarah Butler, 36, of Shenandoah was traveling north on Route 924 on Centre Street, near Green Mountain Road, East Union Township.

Butler crossed the center line and struck an embankment.

Butler was listed as having a "Possible Injury" and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hazleton via Sheppton Ambulance.


Man Facing Charges for Writing Bad Checks

West Mahanoy Township Police have filed charges as a result of a report of Bad Checks. Police were contacted by a local establishment on February 20th, 2018 and notified that Trevor Jefferson, Shenandoah, had passed a bad check as payment for services rendered by the establishment. Jefferson will have to answer to a Misdemeanor charge of Bad Checks before MDJ Hale, Frackville.

Man Facing False ID and Disorderly Conduct Charges


West Mahanoy Township Police have filed charges as a result an incident on March 5th, 2018 at a local motel after Police were called for a disturbance. During the course of the incident it was found that Robert Hester, Downingtown, provided Police with a false name. Hester will have to answer to a misdemeanor charge of False Identification To Law Enforcement and a summary charge of Disorderly Conduct before MDJ Hale, Frackville.

Man Crashes through Utility Pole in Pottsville

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 1342 hours, Pottsville Police were dispatched to 14th and Mahantongo St. for a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, police began investigation into a single vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that Jeffrey Drumheller, 22 of Pottsville, was traveling in a 2005 silver in color Volkswagen Jetta westbound into the intersection of 14th St. when he veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole with the passenger side of his vehicle.

The vehicle drove through the pole and then the driver’s side of the vehicle struck a fire hydrant before coming to a stop. Drumheller was treated for minor injuries while on scene by Schuylkill EMS and released.

Drumheller’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Womer’s Garage.
Pottsville fire companies assisted with traffic and scene cleanup.

Ptlm. Joseph Krammes will be charging Drumheller for careless driving
