Sheppton Woman Charged in Fatal Crash

A Sheppton Woman was charged for a fatal crash back in March.


Shirl Mumie, 37, of Sheppton was charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter, drug possession and other traffic violations for the March 29th crash that killed James Hossler, 62, of Shenandoah on Route 54 near Mahanoy City.


She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Reilly of Pottsville and was placed in Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000 bail.
