FBPA to Purchase More Lights for Christmas Season

PRESS RELEASE - The Frackville Business & Professional Association (FBPA) took steps this month to make Frackville more illuminous for the 2015 Christmas season!

As their January meeting, the FBPA voted to purchase 6 more lighted Christmas ornaments to be hung throughout downtown next Christmas. The organization periodically adds new

ornaments to the existing ones, and last year purchased 6 "snowboy" ornaments which were displayed for the first time during the 2014 Christmas season. Based on the popularity of these new ornaments, the FBPA voted to purchase 6 more "snowboy" ornaments for the 2015 Christmas season.

FBPA currently partners with the Frackville Borough to keep Frackville glowing at Christmastime. FBPA purchases the decorations and replacement bulbs/parts and funds the manpower for their installation and removal. The Borough partners by storing the decorations, replacing the bulbs, and transporting the decorations downtown for installation.

The Christmas light program is funded through FBPA's annual Eagles' ticket raffle, conducted in conjunction with the Frackville Library. The FBPA would like to thank the community for their ongoing support of this raffle, which is enabling them to continue the beautification of downtown Frackville through the Christmas light program.
