Photos of the Old J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah

The J.W. Cooper High School was built in 1917 and later used as an elementary school from 1986 to 1994.

In 2009, it was purchased by Hamburg Businessman, Kent Steinmetz, who has been restoring the build 3 story building ever since where it is being converted in the J.W. Cooper Center.

Phyllis Gallagher, of Frackville, was able to get a chance to explore the building recently and took the following photos.

Gallagher is also a studio artist at the Walk In Art Center, Schuylkill Haven, where you can see more of her work.
