Two Face Disorderly Conduct Charges After Domestic Disturbance

During the early morning hours of Saturday, August 26, 2017, the Orwigsburg Police Department was alerted to a loud verbal domestic occurring to the rear of the 100 block of W. Market Street.

An investigation led OPD to an apartment at 116 W. Market Street which was occupied by the actors, Terrance Gillis, 29 and Ashley Feick, 33.

Both parties, who were intoxicated at the time of the incident, continued their boisterous behavior after multiple demands by officers at the scene to desist.

As a result of the investigation, Gillis will be charged with disorderly conduct and providing false ID to law enforcement. Feick will be charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Man Facing DUI Charges

On Saturday, August 26, 2017 at approximately 2:00am, the Orwigsburg Borough Police Department stopped a vehicle for committing a series of moving violations in the 900 block of W. Market Street.

The operator of the vehicle, Ryan Gernert, 37, of New Ringgold, was found to be manifestly under the influence of alcoholic beverages to the degree which he was incapable of safely operating a vehicle upon a highway. 

Gernert was also found to be in possession of open alcoholic beverage containers in the console of the vehicle. Gernert was transported to the LVHN-Schuylkill South where he consented to a chemical test of blood. Charges will be filed pending the receipt of the blood toxicology report.

Police Investigating Stolen Vehicle

On Saturday, August 26, 2017 an E. Tammany Street resident reported that, sometime between the hours of midnight and 7:00am her bronze 2008 Chevrolet Impala sedan was stolen from her driveway. 

The vehicle, which was not locked at the time of the theft, displays Pennsylvania registration JYR-2435. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Orwigsburg Police Department at (570) 366-3102.
