Art Exhibit to Celebrate the Shades of a Coal Town Childhood

This weekend, an art exhibit will celebrate the reception of a local artist's book "Almost Touching: Shades of a Coal Town Childhood".

The exhibit will feature the work of Bob McCormick, an artist who has lived most of his life in the Ashland/Butler Township area.

Featured at the show will be 25 paintings found in the book, plus the 5 original watercolors that compose McCormick's "Roofline and Windows: Ashland Series."

The event runs Saturday and Sunday (09/02/17-09/03/17) from Noon to 2 pm at the Ashland Downtown Building, next to the BB&T Bank at 7th & Centre.

The event is free!

The Ashland Library will be selling McCormick's greeting cards as part of their fund raising.

The Ashland Downtown Incorporated also welcomes any donations.
