The rain is expected to begin around the afternoon commute with showers and light rain. Closer to midnight, the rain will become more steady. The National Weather Service is currently forecasting anywhere from 1.5 to 2 inches rain until late Friday/early Saturday.
There is also a chance for a wintry mix before it ends.
Ice jams are also possible in smaller creeks that are still frozen.
