Over $20,000 Worth of Methamphetamine and Heroin Seized While Serving Warrant

A man is facing drug charges after police seized over $20,000 worth of drugs were seized from a home in St. Clair.

On Thursday, April 26, 2018, members of the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police and Frackville Borough Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant on a residence located within the Borough of St. Clair.

Items of contraband were subsequently seized from the residence including, but not limited to, the following:  In excess of 4 ounces of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $12,600.00, approximately 25 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $7,500.00, and $2,053.00 of United States Currency.

As a result of the search, Michael Joseph Vinanskie, 51, of St. Clair, was charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act as follows:  Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine), Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Heroin), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine),  Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin)Possession of a Controlled Substance (Suboxone), Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Vinanskie was arraigned by the on-call Magisterial District Judge, the Honorable David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.
