Motorcyclist Injured in Road Rage Incident in Berks County

A man was injured Wednesday in a crash in Berks County involving two men from Schuylkill County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg, the incident occurred on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 around 3:15pm.

Police say the incident began in a construction zone on Route 61 in Ontelaunie and Perry Townships, Berks County, just north of Leesport.

According to witnesses, Timothy Hagedorn II, 31, of Auburn, driving a Harley Davidson FXDB, made an abrupt lane change in front of Gary Fisher, 60, of Tremont, driving a 2006 Peterbilt tractor trailer.  Police say Hagedorn made the abrupt lane change to possibly "brake check" the tractor trailer.

Hagedorn was struck in the rear end and got knocked off the motorcycle and entangle underneath the truck.

Witnesses stated that Fisher immediately applied the brakes to attempt to avoid any collision.

When the truck came to a complete stop, Hagedorn was caught under the right front tire of the tractor trailer.

Hagedorn was transported to a Reading hospital with severe lower leg and left arm injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
