Kindergartners Celebrate Fall at North Schuylkill

Kindergartner students at North Schuylkill Elementary celebrated the season with their annual Fall Festival.

The Kindergarten Fall Festival is a Spartan tradition that originated at Ashland Elementary in the 1980s.

The festival is normally an outside event but due to the colder temperatures, teachers decided to hold the event inside North Schuylkill Elementary.

On Friday, the students were treated to a hayride, a pumpkin patch, bounce house, games, pumpkin decorating, cooking decorating, and dancing.

Kindergarten parents volunteered to help with the event as well.

North Schuylkill Elementary Kindergarten Teacher Jamie Swartz said "We would never be able to keep it going if it weren’t for amazing parents and grandparents who volunteer their time to plan the event along with multiple local businesses who make donations."

"The Kindergarten Teachers and Students would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who made today's Fall Festival so awesome! It was a perfect day that the kids aren't going to forget!", added Swartz.

The teachers, volunteers and students thank the following businesses for their donations to the event.
