State Police Thank Those that Helped During Search for Missing Elderly Woman

The Pennsylvania State Police thank those that assisted in helping locate a missing elderly woman on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Police released information that the Frackville Station was conducting a search for an elderly woman with dementia who went missing in the Cumbola/Blythe Township area.

The woman had reportedly went missing overnight.

By 5:15pm Tuesday, the Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that the woman had been found safe.

Afterwards, Sergeant Raymond O’Donnell, Station Commander for Frackville had the following to say, "As a result of leads generated due to local media coverage the woman located and is safe. I would like to express my thanks to the Northeast Search and Rescue, Cumbola and Port Carbon Fire Depts. Local EMS units, the numerous volunteers and local media who helped bring this incident to a quick successful closure."
