Man Arrested for Stealing Item and Shoving Employee in Boyer's Market in Ashland

A Pitman man was arrested Sunday for robbing Boyer's Food Market in Ashland on Saturday.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Jason Conner, 41, of Pitman entered the market around 9:00pm on Saturday and concealed merchandise.

When confronted by store personnel, Conner shoved aside a clerk to get away.

An investigation by police led to the identification of Conner and the finding of the item stolen at an apartment in Ashland on Sunday, January 6th.

Conner was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Rossi on charges of robbery, retail theft, and harrassment, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $30,000.00 cash bail.

The value of the the merchandise stolen:  less than $7.00.
