Man Facing Charges After Making Threats in Rush Township

A man is facing charges after making threats last week in Rush Towship.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Anthony L. Keiper, 32, of Tamaqua showed up at a family members residence on Fairview Street, in the Village of Ginthers, Rush Township, under the influece of drugs.

While at the residence, Keiper took a kitchen cutting knife and began displaying it in a manner that made those at the home think he was going to harm them.

Keiper was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, harassment, and public drunkenness.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.

While Rush Township Police were busy with another emergency incident, Tamaqua Police also assisted.
