Truck Driver Walks Away Uninjured After Crash Saturday Morning in Gordon

A truck driver walked away uninjured Saturday morning after crashing his tractor trailer in Gordon.


Around 3:00am, emergency personnel responded to the intersection of East Plane Street and Biddle Street for a tractor trailer crash.

The driver of the tractor trailer was coming down the Gordon Mountain when he failed to stop, crossed Biddle Street, became airborne and crashed into a wooded area between Plane Street and West Plane Street.

According to Butler Township Police, the driver of the truck was not injured but was still taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The truck was reported to have been hauling macaroni and potato salad.

Responding to the scene were Gordon Fire and Butler Township Police.

Trail Towing, Minersville, was called to the scene for the Heavy Rescue and Recovery of the tractor trailer.

As of 10:00am, Saturday, crews were still at the scene cleaning up.

Biddle Street is down to one lane at the scene, borough officials ask that you find an alternate route until the scene is cleared.
