According to the New Jersey State Police, the crash occurred around 4:55am Sunday, when Aleix Nevadomsky, 23, of Oneida was traveling east on Interstate 78 in Berkley Heights, NJ.
Police say, for unknown reasons, her vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Nevadomsky was seriously injured and taken to Morristown Medical Center.
A passenger in the vehicle, Emily Cooney, 24, of Lost Creek died from her injuries.
