Driver Not Injured After Crashing Tanker Truck Over Embankment

A driver was not injured after crashing a tanker truck through a guard rail late Friday.

Between 10:00pm and 11:00pm, Friday, fire crews responded to an incident involving a tanker truck over an embankment at the McDonald's located on Schuylkill Mall Road near Frackville.

During the incident, the driver of a Jack Rich, Inc. oil truck lost control, crashed through a guard rail and wedged itself at the top of the hill, preventing it from going over the embankment.  When crews arrived, they found the driver had exited the vehicle on his own.

Altamont and Englewood Fire responded to the scene along with the Pennsylvania State Police.

Hammer's Towing responded and with two lifts, were able to pull the truck back up into the parking lot.

No injuries were reported.  No word at the time, how the incident occurred.
