State Police Investigating Stalking Incident

The State Police at Frackville are investigating an stalking incident that occurred on Thursday.


According to police, the incident occurred Thursday morning around 9:00am.

Police say a woman was travelling from the Tamaqua area to the Frackville area, and while travelling north on Route 309 in Tamaqua she noticed a small white car travelling behind her.  The white car continued to follow her as she continued from Route 309, to Route 54, to Interstate 81 south, and to 61 South.

Feeling concerned, the woman proceed to the McDonald's Restaurant parking lot on Schuylkill Mall Road, as the car continued to follow her.

The woman then pulled into the drive thru of the restaurant and told the employee to call 911.  At that time, the vehicle turned around and fled the parking lot.

State Police at Frackville continue to investigate.  The victim could identify the make and model of the car, but described it as a small white car with a wing or hood scoop on the front.
