North Schuylkill Kindergarten Prom Benefits ThinkBIG

On Saturday, North Schuylkill held it's first ever Kindergarten Prom.

The event, which was organized and benefited the North Schuylkill ThinkBIG Program.

The ThinkBIG program is a fundraiser that raises money for families who have children who are battling pediatric cancer.

The kindergarten prom, themed "The Wild West",  was a first for North Schuylkill where over 60 students invited a family member to bring to the prom and were able to dress up for the event.

The night started with promenade at the school's entrance where each couple was announced before family members and could have pictures taken.

The prom was held inside the elementary school's cafeteria where High School Seniors had set up a photo booth, craft table, games, and a dance floor with a DJ.

A small dinner was also served.

The ThinkBIG club hopes to continue the event each year in hopes for it to grow and build the relationship between the older and younger students within the school district.
