Schuylkill County's Toughest and Oldest Road Race Scheduled for June

The 2019 Coal Cracker 10K and Fun Run will be held June 8th, 2019.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Polish American Fire Co. #4 at 115 West Centre Street.

The Fun Run, for kids 12 and younger, will begin at 9:00am.

The 10K, which has a reputation as one of the most grueling runs in the state, will start at 10:00 am, beginning at the Polish American Fire Company at 10:00am

Entry fee for the 10K is $20.00 if received by May 24, 2019, $30.00 After May 24, 2019.

Entry fee for the fun run is $5.00.

The medals and tee shirts are sponsored by the Chill Out Ice Cream Parlor.

The race this year has been organized by a new committee of local volunteers after previous race directors, Tom Talerico and Danny Lewis retired.  The committee in conjunction with Healthy Shenandoah, an affiliate of Schuylkill County's Vision, have assumed responsibility of the race.

A "Pierogie Party" will take place at the Polish American Fire Company after the race.
