Body Found in Wooded Area in Pottsville on Monday


The body of a man was found on Monday in a wooded area in Pottsville.

According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky, the body of a 63 year old Harrisburg man was found in a wood area along the railroad tracks near Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Wojciechowsky said the man is believed to be homeless and, as of now, the death does not appear to be suspicious.  An autopsy was scheduled for Monday evening, but result have not been released as of this posting.

The identity of the man was not released pending notification to family.
