Runners Participate in 5K Through Ringtown Valley

On Saturday,  the Ringtown Recreation Committee held their 12th Annual Ringtown Loop 5K/Youth Fun Run.

The event is the committee biggest fundraiser of the year with proceeds going directly to the care, upkeep and maintenance of our recreation complex.

The Youth Fun Run began at 9:00am and was an untimed, wheel measured, 1 mile run.  The run did not crown a winner but each of the participants received a t-shirt and a medal.

The 5K is a 3.1 Mile course that started on Breisch Road near the park.

The course through the Ringtown Valley went up Zion Grove Road to Aristes Road to Little Mountain Road, to Bridge Street, down Main Street and back to Zion Grove Road to the park.

The overall male and female winners were awarded Oakley Sunglasses, courtesy of EyeCare Optical.  The overall race and male winner was Cole Streisel and the overall female winner was Ryley Schwalm.
