Inmate Walks Away from Federal Corrections Institution Schuylkill’s Satellite Prison Camp

An inmate at FCI Schuylkill was discovered missing late Friday.


According to the U. S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons, on Friday, November 1, 2019, at approximately 9:30 p.m., inmate Robert Shepherd was discovered missing from the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Schuylkill’s minimum security Satellite Prison Camp in Minersville, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Shepherd is a 43-year-old, Black male with black hair, brown eyes, 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds. The United States Marshals Service and other law enforcement agencies were notified. Anyone with information about this individual should contact the United States Marshals Service at 570-346-7277.

Mr. Shepherd was sentenced in District of Delaware to 156 months for Attempting to Possess With The Intent to Distribute 5 Kilograms or More of Cocaine, Possession With Intent to Distribute More Than 500 grams of Cocaine, Money Laundering, Conspiracy to Distribute 500 grams or More of Cocaine, and Supervised Release Violation.

The Federal Correctional Institution Schuylkill’s Satellite Prison Camp is a minimum security facility currently housing 220 male offenders in Minersville, Pennsylvania.
