Deer to Blame for Rollover Crash Sunday Morning in Fountain Springs

A man walked away uninjured after a rollover crash in Fountain Springs Sunday morning.


Around 6:30am, Sunday, emergency personnel were called to the area of 602 Fountain Street, Fountain Springs, in Butler Township for a motor vehicle accident.

According to Butler Township Police Lt. Dan Holderman, the driver told police that he swerved to avoid hitting a deer on Route 61 when he struck a tree on the right side of the road.

After the striking the tree, the vehicle rollover several times through the yard of 602 Fountain Street and came to a rest in the driveway.

The driver was wearing his seat belt with the airbags deploying.  The driver reported no injuries.

Assisting police at the scene were fire companies from Fountain Springs, Englewood, and Lavelle, as well as Washington Ambulance.  Oakland Auto assisted with towing the vehicle from the scene.
