Mother Charged with Murder in Killing of Her Two Children Found Hanged in Berks County

The mother of two children who died after being found hanged in Berks County earlier this year.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police, just after 4:30pm on Monday, September 23, 2019, troopers responded to 2442 Route 143, in Albany Township, near Kempton, Berks County for two unconscious children.  The children, ages 4 and 8, were flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital are listed in stable condition.

The siblings, identified as Connor and Brinley Snyder, were reported found hanged and later died at the hospital.

Since then, the Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg have investigated the incident and on Monday, December 2nd, 2019, an arrest was made.

According to State Police, Lisa Snyder, the children's mother, was arrested Monday morning and charged with two counts of first degree murder, third degree murder and child endangerment.  Snyder was also charged with sexual intercourse with an animal, tampering with evidence, and animal cruelty.

A press conference is scheduled by the Pennsylvania State Police for later Monday where additional details will be released.
