Theresa S. Gaffney has announced she will be running for the Republican ticket in this spring's primary election for the 125th District.
Gaffney made the announcement that she will run for the seat in the House of Representatives via social media earlier Monday.
In her announcement, she mentions her motive to running for the seat as "(she) refuses to sit by and watch this governor continue to fail our taxpayers, senior citizens, veterans, farmers, and job creators."

She will face the current Schuylkill County Controller Christy Joy for Republican seat in May.
Current seat holder, Representive Tobash just announced last week that he will not be running for re-election.
Gaffney was just sworn in for her third term as Schuylkill County Register of Wills.
