No Injuries Reported After Three-Vehicle Crash in Cressona

No injuries were reported after a three-vehicle crash in Cressona on Wednesday afternoon.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 5:20pm, on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 on North Sillyman Street/Route 901 in Cressona.

Police say the occurred as three vehicles travelling southbound on Route 901.  Two vehicles, driven by Carter Scherer, 19, of Elysburg, and Dakota Keller, 24, of Summit Station were  stopped in traffic when a third vehicle, driven by Brandon Melfi, 26, of Harrisburg travelling behind the other two did not see traffic had stopped.

Melfi rear-ended Scherer, forcing his vehicle into the rear of Keller's vehicle.

Melfi's vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end of his vehicle and was towed from the scene by Trail Towing.

The other two vehicles were damaged but were driven from the scene.

All three involved in the crash did not report any injuries.

Assisting at the scene of the crash was the Goodwill Fire Company, Trail Towing, and Fire Police.
