Pottsville Man with Active Bench Warrant Faces Drug Charges

A Pottsville man that was wanted on an active bench warrant was taken into custody and found with drugs.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on January 13, 2020, James Tokonitz, 34, of Pottsville was at the scene of a crash investigation when troopers discovered he was wanted on an active bench warrant.

While troopers took him in custody, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers took Tokonitz into custody on the warrant and filed charges of drug possession and possession of paraphernalia.
