Driver Falls Asleep, Rolls Vehicle on Route 901 in Barry Township

The driver in a rollover crash on Route 901 Monday morning was not injured.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, February 17, 2020 around 6:50am, emergency personnel were dispatched to Sunbury Road (Route 901) near the intersection with Melocheck Lane, in Barry Township, for a motor vehicle accident with rollover.

Police say the crash occurred when Jacob Clark, 20, of Ashland, fell asleep behind the wheel, crossed over into the oncoming lane, drove up a rock wall, rolled over, and came to a rest back onto it's wheels.

Clark's Kia Rio sustained disabling damaged with the vehicle being towed from the scene.

Clark was not injured in the crash.

Assisting at the scene were Ashland EMS, Lavelle Fire Department, and Gordon Fire Department.
