Lykens Man Man in Custody After Stealing Vehicle in Tremont

A Lykens man is in custody after stealing a car in Tremont last month.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on January 31, 2020, around 7:00am, James Lemmon, 46,  stole a vehicle in Tremont.

At the time, Lemmon had fled from Tremont Borough Police and was later apprehended by State Police.

Lemmon was charged theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing or eluding police, driving with a suspended license and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale who set bail at $75,000 cash.

The vehicle was returned to the victim and did not sustain any damage.
