Shenandoah Man Wanted in Berks County on Felony Forgery Charges

A man from Shenandoah is wanted in Berks County for the unauthorized use of a credit card.

According to Tilden Township Police, On March 9th, 2020, the victim reported to Tilden Township Police that an unauthorized use of her bank card occurred at the Walmart in Tilden Township on March 8th, 2020 to purchase items valued at $1143.00.

On March 18th, 2020, Walmart Asset Protection assisted Tilden Township Police in tracking the card used to a specific transaction for March 8th, 2020 at 8pm. Video and photos of the suspect for that transaction were provided to police.

Using the photos, the victim was able to identify the male, who was an acquaintance, as Russell Williams, 57, of Shenandoah.

On 03/30/2020, Tilden Township Police obtained a warrant of arrest for Williams for felony Forgery, felony Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card, misdemeanor Theft and misdemeanor Receiving Stolen Property.

In addition to this new warrant, Williams also has dozens of active criminal and scofflaw warrants from multiple counties in Pennsylvania.
