Hegins Man Points Gun, Threatens to Kill Woman During Argument

A man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after police say he pointed a gun and threatened to kill a woman.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the incident occurred on Friday, May 8th, 2020 around 9:00pm on Mountain Road in Hegins Township and continued to a home on Vista Road in Mahantongo Township.

Troopers say Zachary Long, 32, of Hegins and a female got into a verbal argument in a vehicle when Long pulled a gun and pointed it at the woman and threatened to kill her.

Long repeated this numerous times on the way to a home in Mahantongo Township.

State Police were notified of the situation and responded to the residence.

Long was taken into custody by Troopers  without incident, arraigned and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
