The Mahanoy City Police took 3 into custody after they stopped a burglary in progress Sunday evening.
According to the Mahanoy City Police Department, officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they found George Hartranft, 47, Danielle Kapes, 39, and Chad Benjamin, 39, all of Mahanoy City inside the residence.
Officers took all three into custody and each were arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Rossie and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
