Five Injured, Four Flown After Crash in Walker Township on Wednesday

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, five people were injured in a crash in Walker Township on Wednesday.

Troopers say the crash occurred on Catawissa Road around 5:20pm, on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020.

The crash involved two vehicles that struck head-on in the area of Catawissa Road and Shady Lane.  Police say the driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling south from Heisler's while a Kia Sorento was traveling north.

The Outlander reportedly failed to negotiate a right hand curve and crossed into the path of the Sorento.

The driver of the Outlander was reported to have been injured and transported via ambulance to an area hospital.

Two adults and two children from the Sorento were transported by LifeFlight and MedEvac to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Information from police did not include the identities of the victims.

The crash is still under investigation by State Police.
