Three Caught Trespassing on Schuylkill County Municipal Authority Property

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on June 21st, 2020, around 5:00pm, Troopers were calls to an area along Route 61 in New Castle Township owned by the Schuylkill County Municipal Authority.  

Police investigated and found that three males caused $3,400 in damage to a front entry gate to the property.

Troopers will be filing charges against the three for the incident.  

Damage is estimated at $3,427.00

State Police did not release the identities but did release their ages as 27, 23, and 24.

Pottsville Woman Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Saturday, July 4th, 2020 around 11:10pm, troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Katherine Aitken, 29, of Pottsville on South Altamont Boulevard/Mall Road in Ryan Township.

Aitken was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.

Charges are to be filed.

Man with Active Bench Warrant Found Sleeping on Back Porch

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville,  on Friday, July 3rd, 2020, around 9:30pm, a New Philadelphia woman called to report that a 26 year old Port Carbon man was asleep on her back porch.  The woman, who knew the man, asked him to leave but didn't.  Police arrived and took the man into custody for the active warrant.

The man was also found to be in possession of marijuana.

Criminal charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge David Plachko's office.

State Police Investigate Damage to Vehicle in Ashland

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating criminal mischief in Ashland that occurred on June 20th, 2020 around 1:30am on Chesnut Street.

Police say a white male took a bicycle and threw it at a Suburu Crosstrek causing minor damage.

The suspect then ran from the scene.

Police Investigate Identity Theft

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on June 18th, 2020 around 8:00am, troopers were dispatched to a Tremont resident that reported that someone attempted to change the victim's address on stocks that she owns.

State Police continue to investigate.

Police Investigate Identity Theft Using Unemployment Claim

The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a report of someone filing an unemployment claim under the name of someone else.

Police say a South Manheim Township woman reported the identity theft on May 23rd, 2020. 

The investigation is ongoing into the incident.

Restaurant Door Damaged in Cressona

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, between June 25th, 2020 at 5:00pm and June 26th, 2020 at 10:30am, someone broke the door knob off of an exterior door at a restaurant on Pottsville Street in Cressona.

The suspect or suspects also cut a hole in a screen window next to the door.

Luzerne County Man Found with Drug Paraphernalia in Pottsville

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on July 3rd, 2020 around 9:20am, troopers initiated a traffic stop on a 28 year old man from Beaver Meadows on South Claude A Lord Boulevard and South Centre Streets in Pottsville.

An investigation led to the finding of drug paraphernalia.

Charges are to be filed.

Mailbox Damaged in Norwegian Township

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on June 27th, 2020 around 10:00pm, some used a blunt object and damaged a mailbox on Seltzer Road in Norwegian Township.

Police Investigate Damaged Flower Bed in Cressona

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on June 28th, 2020 around midnight, someone pulled out several flowers in front of a home on Judy Drive in Cressona.
