According to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers, the Frackville barracks continues to investigate an incident from June 13th, 1993 when a body of an infant female was found to have been placed on the side of the road on Darkwater Lane in New Castle Township, approximately 3/4 of a mile west of Route 61.
When the body was found, the baby was wrapped in a blanket and a bathmat, then placed in a trash bag and placed on the side of the road.
Troopers from Frackville investigated the case since but have never been able to identify the baby.
