State Police Investigating Stolen Money and Firearm from Unlocked Vehicles in Shenandoah Heights

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a theft where money and a firearm were stolen from two vehicles in Shenandoah Heights this week.

Both thefts occurred in West Mahanoy Township overnight between August 26th, 2020 and August 27th, 2020.

According to troopers, the first theft occurred on Florida Avenue in West Mahanoy Township between August 26th, 2020 around 9:00pm and August 27th, 2020 around 10:30am.

The victim reportedly left her vehicle unlocked and during the time frame listed above, someone entered the car and stole a pink wallet that was in a compartment on the driver's side door.

The wallet was recovered nearby but $570.00 that was inside was gone.  A key to a safe was also taken.

The second theft occurred between August 26th, 2020 at 7:00pm and August 27th, 2020 at 5:10am on Arizona Avenue.

Troopers say someone removed a Semi-Auto Pistole with a Silver Slide Black Group from an unlocked vehicle and fled the scene.
