Man Wanted for Murder in Philadelphia Taken into Custody in Ashland

Schuylkill County law enforcement took a man into custody on Tuesday afternoon who was wanted for murder in Philadelphia.

According to Ashland Police Chief Ger Daley, on Tuesday, September 29th, 2020, just after 4:00pm, Tristan A. Jones, also known as Anthony, was taken into custody in the borough of Ashland in an apartment at 718 Centre Street without incident.

During the arrest in Ashland on Tuesday, Ashland Police were assisted by officers from Shenandoah, Butler Township, and the Frackville State Police.

Jones was wanted by the Philadelphia Police Homicide Unit for a murder that occurred in the 15th District on July 6th, 2020.

During the incident in Philadelphia, a male was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later passed away at Temple University Hospital.

Jones was charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, obstructing justice, violations of the uniform firearm act, and other charges.

Philadelphia Police Officers travelled to Ashland late Tuesday and transported Jones back to the city.

Also charged for the murder and still wanted is Brandon Wilson, 23, who is described as a black male, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 190 lbs.  His whereabouts are unknown.

A female was also reportedly charged with the same murder charges and has already been incarcerated.
