Cass Township Man Facing Drug Charges After Selling Methamphetamine to an Undercover Police Officer

A man from Cass Township is facing charges after police went undercover and made a drug bust last month.

According to Cass Township Police, on September 12th, 2020, around 11:00pm, Officer Jeffrey Bowers was conducting an investigation into the sales of controlled substances in Schuylkill County when he learned that Joshua Bickelman, 25,of 8 Owl Road, Cass Township, was attempting to sell 1 gram of methamphetamine for $20.00.

Police made arrangements over the phone to purchase the methamphetamine through an undercover officer.

Later that evening, the undercover officer went to the home and purchased the drugs.

A field test was conducted and the purchased substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

On September 28th, 2020, charges of possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of drug paraphernalia were filed through Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi's office.

On September 30th, 2020, Bickelman was taken into custody, arraigned, and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 (10%) bail.  Bickelman posted bail later that day and was released.

A preliminary hearing is set for November 5th, 2020.
