State Police Investigate 2nd Incident Involving Rocks Being Thrown at Vehicles on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County

The Pennsylvania State Police have released information in regards to a second incident reported recently when rocks were thrown at a vehicle on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Jonestown, the incident occurred on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 just before midnight.

Police say an unknown suspect or suspects threw a large rock from the overpass on Interstate 81 at Exit 107 (Tremont) in Frailey Township, striking the windshield of a FedEx tractor trailer traveling north.

The rock smashed the windshield of the tractor trailer and the driver sustained minor cuts from the shattered glass.

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are also investigating a similar incident that occurred on Friday, October 9th, 2020, also in Frailey Township.

During the first incident, a tractor trailer reported having his windshield damaged by rocks being thrown from an overpass.
