HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Tri-Valley Wins Class A Semi-Final Over Nativity BVM

Tri-Valley and Nativity BVM traveled to the neutral grounds of Spartan Stadium in Fountain Springs for the first round of the District XI playoffs.

Tri-Valley would strike first Friday night after Chase Herb ran in for 6 points but a blocked field goal would keep the score at 6-0.

Bulldogs QB Jonas McGrath would run in another score at the beginning of the second quarter following by the 2 point conversion.

On the following drive by Nativity BVM,  the Green Wave would march down the field with Quarterback Cody Miller running in a touchdown from the red zone for six plus the extra point leaving the score at 14-7.

Tri-Valley's Chase Herb would leave the game mid 2nd quarter with a hamstring injury.

The Bulldogs would strike back again after a drive down the field led to a Kam Wetzel running in for 6 more points and the extra point leaving the score at 21-7 going into the half.

After the half, defense from both teams would step up leaving the 3rd quarter scoreless and both teams only scoring one more time in the fourth.

Tri-Valley's final score would come from a 26 yard pass from McGrath to Joltyn Flory.

The Green Wave's final score would be when Miller threw a 37 yard pass to Keegan Brennan.

Final score, 28-14, with Tri-Valley moving on.

Tri-Valley will move on to play Williams Valley for the District XI Class A Championship on Friday night back at Spartan Stadium at 7:00pm.
