Schuylkill County Crash Log:  November 22nd, 2020

No Injuries Reported After Vehicles Hits Deer on Interstate 81

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred on November 18th, 2020, around 6:50pm, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near mile marker 117.3 in Butler Township.

Troopers say Sergey Shulga-Morskey, 51, of Sudbury, MA was driving his 2016 BMW X1 when he encountered a deer crossing the interstate and was unable to avoid hitting it.

No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and multiple airbags deployed.

The vehicle was towed from the scene, no fire or ems units were called to the scene.

No Injuries Reported in Landingville Crash

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred on Saturday, November 21st, 2020 around 4:00pm on Main Street in Landingville.

Troopers say Mason Carter, 19, of Schuylkill Haven was traveling north on Main Street when he lost control of his Toyota Yaris while coming around a right-hand curve and slid off the roadway.  Yaris' vehicle struck a post that was on the property of the Welcome United Methodist Church causing disabling damage

Carter was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

One Injured After Schuylkill Haven Woman Crashes into Parked Vehicle in Palo Alto

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred on November 11th, 2020 around midnight on East Bacon Street in Palo Alto.

Police say Jamie Wolfe, 34, of Schuylkill Haven was traveling east on East Bacon Street when she crashed into a parked vehicle.

Wolfe suffered minor injures and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

Wolfe will be cited for the crash.
