Just after 10:15am, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Sherwood Drive for a working house fire.
As personnel arrived on the scene, the fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm calling in additional tankers for water.
A tanker fill site was setup at the intersection of Sherwood and Hillside Drive.
Crews worked at the scene for almost 2 hours before bringing it under control just after noon. Fire crews were met with a hoarding situation inside the home which made fighting the fire difficult.
Crews remained at the scene into the afternoon working on extensive overhaul.
No cause was reported as of the time of this posting. One person was said to have lived in the home.
