Girardville Woman Facing Child Endangerment Charges After Leaving Children at Home Alone

A Girardville woman is facing charges after she left multiple children at home alone.

According to Girardville Police, officers responded to a home on West Ogden Street recently for a child welfare check after a neighbors called the department with concerns.

When police arrived at the home, they found multiple children, ranging in ages of 13 months to 8 years old, with no adult or competent supervision.

Officers contacted the Schuylkill County Children and Youth for caseworkers to respond to the home.

As caseworkers were facilitating emergency placement for children, the 33 year old mother returned home.

The mother was charged with five misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of children through the Magisterial District Court in Frackville.
